Milwaukee picked up a much-needed series win against the Cubs on the South Side of Chicago Sunday afternoon. After dropping Friday’s weekend opener, the Crew shut out Chicago the past two days. Saturday was a 2-0 nail biter and Sunday shaped up in the same way until the top of the ninth. It was a slim 1-0 lead until Yelich uncorked one to center field. The 443-foot three-run shot provided plenty of insurance for closer Josh Hader. The Brewers are now three games back of the Cubs for the second NL Wild Card. The Brewers are home this week starting this afternoon with a short two-game interleague matchup with the Astros. They meet the Cubs again this weekend for four games beginning Thursday.
