Hunters of different kinds of game in Door and Kewaunee Counties are preparing for the opening day of their seasons.
Wednesday marks the first day hunters can hit the woods in search of bears with their dogs. Hunters in search of deer (bow and crossbow only), wild turkey, other game birds, and rabbits will have to wait until September 14th to get their taste of hunting this fall. Permits are available now on the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources website and area retailers.
