Cubs slug past Brewers

Six home runs were hit in the Milwaukee Brewers' 10-5 loss Thursday night at Miller Park.

Leads went back and forth through the first five innings thanks to home runs by Yasmani Grandal and Hernan Perez for the Brewers and Willson Contreras for the Cubs. That all changed in the sixth when Anthony Rizzo's double gave the Cubs a 5-4 lead and Kyle Schwarber blew the game wide open with a grand slam a few batters later. Cory Spangenberg hit a solo home run in the sixth inning to narrow the lead, only to see it stretched back to five with one swing of the bat for David Bote.

The Cubs and Brewers are back in action Friday night at 7:10 as both teams battle for wild card positioning.
