Sevastopol's offense came alive in the first half of their game against Green Bay NEW Lutheran/Oneida. Unfortunately, the Pioneers issues stopping the run continued and they fell 58-32 on the road in a game heard on 104.1 WRLU and DoorKewauneeHighSchoolSports.com.
Sevastopol scored a touchdown on the opening drive of the game and then got their other points on big plays. Tristian Beauchamp threw two long touchdown passes to Logan Beyer and one to Spencer Evenson. The junior running back and defensive back also returned a punt for a touchdown in the game.
NEW/Oneida broke the game open in the first half when they were leading 34-26. Peyton Ponfil intercepted a Beauchamp pass and returned it to the 10 yard line of Sevastopol. They would capitalize and the Pioneers would never get within one score the rest of the game.
It was a 50-26 score at the half and the defenses picked up their play in the second half as NEW/Oneida outscored Sevastopol 8-6.
