Algoma soccer rallies past NEW Lutheran

Algoma came back in the second half to knock off NEW Lutheran on the road Monday night, 2-1. The only goal of the first half went to NEW's Antonio Barras. His shot caromed off an Algoma defender into the back of the net from inside the box. Shortly after halftime, the Wolves tied it up. Padrein Duerst used a header to net a crossing attempt from Reily Reinhart. An unassisted Algoma goal by Justin Dragosh was the deciding score. NEW Lutheran had a golden opportunity to tie the game late on a penalty kick. The effort went off the crossbar and stayed out. Algoma goalie Haakon Utesh had 14 saves.
