Local teams in tennis and golf will have to make sure Mother Nature did not cancel their competitions on Thursday.

In golf action, Luxemburg-Casco and Sturgeon Bay are scheduled to battle West De Pere, De Pere, Oconto Falls, Shawano Community, Marinette, Oconto, and Bay Port in Menominee, Michigan this morning beginning at 10 a.m. Kewaunee tennis returns to action this afternoon when it hosts Plymouth at 4 p.m.

While tennis may be more weather resistant than golf, both will have to make sure the playing surfaces are safe to play.
