Cross country teams across the peninsula will certainly get their miles in this weekend with invitationals scheduled around the state.
On Friday, Luxemburg-Casco and Southern Door head to Chilton to face Cedar Grove-Belgium, Denmark, Hilbert, Valders, Winnebago Lutheran Academy, and Wrightstown.
Saturday features a couple invitationals with local ties. Gibraltar will race at Spring Green Golf Course against Baraboo, Viroqua, Holmen, Mount Horeb Middle, Lodi, Sauk Prairie, Brookwood, Wisconsin Dells, DeForest, North Crawford, Platteville / Belmont, Boscobel, Cassville, Darlington, Dodgeville, Fennimore, Madison La Follette, Mauston, McFarland, Monroe, Mount Horeb, Necedah, New Glarus, Palmyra-Eagle, Pecatonica, Prairie du Chien, Richland Center, River Ridge, Southwestern, Waunakee, Riverdale, Lancaster, Belleville, Reedsburg, Iowa-Grant, Hillsboro, St. Ambrose Academy, Albany, Wisconsin Heights MS/HS, Wauzeka-Steuben, Cherokee Heights Middle, Sacred Heart Catholic, Southwestern/Cuba City at 8:30 a.m.. Sturgeon Bay finds themselves in Shawano on Saturday to face Appleton West, Kaukauna, Oshkosh North, West De Pere, Seymour, Bonduel, Brillion, Cedar Grove-Belgium, Coleman, Gillett, Green Bay East, Green Bay Preble, Green Bay Southwest, Green Bay West, Gresham, Hortonville, Menominee Indian, Oconto Falls, Peshtigo, Sturgeon Bay, Winneconne, Manitowoc Lincoln, New London, Xavier, Marion, and Marinette at 9 a.m.. At 10 a.m., Algoma, Sevastopol, and Kewaunee head to Manitowoc to run against Algoma, Howards Grove, Kewaunee, Manitowoc Lutheran, Mishicot, St. Lawrence Seminary, Sevastopol, Two Rivers, St. Mary's Springs, Providence Academy (Green Bay) vs. Roncalli.
