Wisconsin football off this weekend

The Badgers have been nothing short of impressive so far this season. Wisconsin was 10.5 point favorites in Tampa in Week One against South Florida. They covered that easily winning 49-0. Last weekend against Central Michigan in the home opener, Wisconsin was favored by 35 and won 61-0. Both games have been complete efforts showing that the offseason commitment the team made to avoid another 8-5 season was more than just hot air. This weekend was a bye week, one of two on the regular-season schedule. The Big Ten has moved the end of its regular-season schedule to the weekend after Thanksgiving and, this year, the holiday is as late as it can be on November 28th marking a rare 14-week window between Labor Day weekend and Turkey Day. With 12 games on the schedule, all teams will have a double bye.

Wisconsin opens Big Ten play Saturday at home against Michigan. The Wolverines have been the mirror opposite of Wisconsin so far this year. They’ve won both of their games but missed the Vegas line by at least two scores in both instances. Michigan had a bye this weekend as well. In their last outing on September 7th, it took double overtime for Michigan to knock off Army at home.
