Algoma blanks Gillett Friday 42-0

The Wolves cruised to an easy victory over Gillett Friday rebounding from their first loss of the year in convincing fashion, 42-0. Gillett struggled to get to 120 yards of total offense and Algoma found a fast start. The Wolves put up 20 in the first quarter and another 16 in the second to lead 36-0 at halftime. It was all on the ground for the Wolves. Quarterback Carter Zimmerman only had two passing attempts with one completion for 15 yards. Six running backs were used in committee to help replace Oliver Robertson who missed his second consecutive contest. The feature back was Jordan Derringer with 15 carries and three touchdowns.

Algoma hosts Williams Bay Saturday, a game you will hear on 96.7 WBDK and streaming on doorcountydailynews.com and newradiosports.com.
