A battle for first place could be in store for Monday in Algoma, but local teams have at least one game this week before then.
In the latest Packerland Conference standings, Algoma is in first place with a 3-1 record and six points, which is two points ahead of 2-0 Sturgeon Bay. There are plenty of Packerland Conference games scheduled for Thursday including Kewaunee traveling to Stockbridge at 6:00 p.m. and Sturgeon Bay hosting Gibraltar/Sevastopol at 6:30 p.m.. The Packerland Conference standings show the Vikineers in third place with three points (1-0-1 record) and Kewaunee looking for their first points of the season.
Northeastern Conference play has Luxemburg-Casco playing at West De Pere at 6:30 p.m.
