The Southern Door Eagles got its homecoming crowd into the football game early as they topped the Oconto Blue Devils 43-20 on 102.1 MORE FM.
The Eagles got out to a 15-6 lead in the first quarter behind a 25-yard touchdown by Nick Baudhuin and a one-yard sneak for a score by Alex Daoust. After scoring with his legs in the first quarter, Daoust used his arm to extend the lead before halftime, finding Marcus Marchant for the 10-yard strike to make it 22-6. Daoust would answer with his arm as he found Marchant again for a 10-yard pass. Baudhuin would register two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach. The defense also made multiple big plays during the game, including three of the five interceptions caught by Tyler Kroll.
