Algoma dominates Williams Bay on 96.7 WBDK

Algoma had a chance to shine in front of the home fans and for anyone who couldn't attend the game on the radio. And the Wolves did not disappoint. They knocked off Williams Bay 58-0 on Saturday afternoon in a game that was broadcast on 96.7 WBDK and DoorKewauneeHighSchoolSports.com.

Jordon Deringer was all over the field for Algoma. He scored three touchdowns in the first half and had two other touchdowns called back by penalties. Deringer also picked off a pass and recovered a fumble.

Algoma led 28-0 after the first quarter and 44-0 at the half. It became a running clock in the first half. Carter Zimmerman threw a touchdown pass to both Chase Peronto and Brett Benesh. Zimmerman also ran in a touchdown and returned the opening kickoff of the second half for a score. Williams Bay didn't have a first down until playing against Algoma's backups in the fourth quarter. Freshman Kaden Vardon capped off the game by scoring his first career touchdown.

Algoma is now 4-1 on the season and will travel to Sturgeon Bay on Friday. That game can be heard on 103.3 The Clipper and at DoorKewauneeHighSchoolSports.com. The pregame will begin at 6:30 PM and the kickoff at 7.
