Milwaukee fans got the best kind of deja vu on Saturday as the Brew Crew topped Pittsburgh 10-1 for a second night. While history rhymes, it doesn't quite repeat. The Pirates got their lone run Saturday in the top of the first to take a short-lived lead. Second baseman Keston Hiura hit a two-run homer in the bottom half of the inning and Milwaukee never looked back. Three runs in the fourth inning, a run in the fifth, two more in the sixth and seventh innings and Milwaukee coasted.
St. Louis beat the Cubs 9-8 in another nail biter. Milwaukee is now three clear of the Cubs with just eight games to play for the final Wild Card spot in the National League. The Crew is one back of Washington. If they can leap frog the Nats this week, they will host the one-game Wild Card playoff matchup.
