Brewers finish off Pirates

The magic number is down to three after the Milwaukee Brewers finished their three-game sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates with a 4-3 victory Sunday.

The Brewers played long ball in the first six innings with Orlando Arcia launching his 15th homer of the season and Eric Thames clubbing two of his own to make it 4-0. In a patented bullpen game for the Brewers, their slate of pitchers did not allow a hit or walk through seven innings before Melky Cabrera and Cole Tucker made run-scoring plays in the eighth inning. Josh Hader secured his 35th save of the season while the division-leading Cardinals all but ended the Chicago Cubs season with a four-game sweep.  The Brewers are three behind the Cardinals for the NL Central crown and tied with the Nationals for the two wild-card spots.
