The Gibraltar Vikings hope to match last year's 5-1 start when it hosts Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Friday night for its homecoming game on 105.1 The Viking.
The Vikings have won four in a row since its opening week loss to Florence, including last week's slugfest against NEW Lutheran/Oneida Nation 50-38. Lena/STAA is still looking for its first win of the season after losing to Three Lakes last week 57-18, which was by far their highest scoring output of the year. Both teams like to funnel their offense through their quarterbacks with the Vikings' Luke Steebs and Lena's Colby Borchardt among their team's leaders in passing and rushing yardage.
Tim Kowols and Jay Kita will have the call beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the pregame show followed by kickoff at 7 p.m. on 105.1 The Viking.
