Packers clipped by Eagles Thursday night

A big second quarter and several Green Bay miscues helped propel Philadelphia to a win over the Packers at Lambeau Field Thursday night. The Pack led 10-0 when Miles Sanders returned a Mason Crosby kickoff to the Green Bay 34. Philadelphia took five plays to get to end zone capping the drive with a Carson Wentz pass to Alshon Jeffery. After Green Bay went up 13-7, the ensuing kickoff went out of bounds giving Philly the ball at its own 40 yard line. That drive resulted in a touchdown. The Eagles last touchdown drive of the first half was just 17 yards after an Aaron Rodgers fumble. The average starting field position for the Philadelphia offense on those drives was the Green Bay 37.

Philadelphia led 34-27 in the fourth quarter and it looked like Rodgers was going to lead another comeback. The Pack took over on their 11 yard line. For almost five minutes Green Bay moved methodically down the field until 2nd and Goal from Philadelphia's three. Rodgers was intercepted in the end zone, effectively ending the game. The Eagles rushing defense is stingy so most of Green Bay's damage came in the passing game. Rodgers was 34-53 for 422 yards, two scores with a costly interception and fumble lost. Davante Adams was Rodgers' favorite target hauling in 10 catches for 180 yards. The Packers outgained the Eagles 491 yards to 336 in the losing effort.
