Gibraltar battles Algoma on 105.1 The Viking

The Gibraltar Vikings hope to spoil another homecoming game Friday night when they travel to Algoma to play the Wolves in a matchup between two of the best eight-man football teams in the state. Both teams come into the game with just one blemish on their record after the Vikings won their homecoming game last week against Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas 38-14. The Wolves were also successful, defeating Sturgeon Bay 52-10. The two teams have found success in different ways with the Vikings’ Luke Steebs and Alex Laughlin taking to the sky while the Wolves have used Carter Zimmerman and Brett Benesh to rule the ground. Gibraltar assistant coach Tom Sawyer is excited for the challenge.

Tim Kowols will have the call from Perry Field in Algoma beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the pregame show followed by kickoff at 7 p.m. The game will be available on 105.1 The Viking via the radio and streams at DoorCountyDailyNews.com, DoorKewauneeHighSchoolSports.com, and the mobile app.
