Forcing turnovers key to Pioneer victory

The defense forcing turnovers was the key to the Sevastopol High School football team's victory over Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas on 104.1 WRLU. It was a chilly night at Sevastopol High School and the Pioneers picked up a 42-14 victory. Caden Kacmarynski recovered a fumble in the first quarter and ran it in for a touchdown for the first turnover and score of the game. Tommy Giblin intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble in the first half. Alex Valdivia also intercepted a pass in the second quarter. Cesar Sandoval sealed the game in the fourth quarter with an interception for the fifth and final turnover.

Triston Beauchamp threw for two touchdowns to Spencer Evenson and also ran for one. Evenson would later run in a touchdown as well. Jack DeYoung came in at the end of the fourth quarter and threw a touchdown to Logan Beyer.

It was the third victory in a row for the Pioneers after starting the season off 0-4. Sevastopol will try to make it four in a row next week when they travel north to Gibraltar. You can hear the Sevastopol broadcast on 104.1 WRLU and the Gibraltar call on 105.1 The Viking. Both games will be streamed on DoorKewauneeHighSchoolSports.com with the pregame shows starting at 6:30 PM and the kickoff at 7.
