Packers lead wire-to-wire in victory

After struggling on the ground against a tough Philadelphia front seven, Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones got loose early and often against the Dallas Cowboys Sunday in a 34-24 victory. Jones had four rushing touchdowns and averaged over five-and-a-half yards per carry in the winning effort. Jones added seven receptions for 75 yards. Aaron Rodgers was steady again throwing for over 230 yards even without a touchdown pass. Green Bay was missing Pro Bowl receiver Devante Adams.

The Packer defense was stifling again until Green Bay had built a 31-3 lead. It got a bit dicey late but a missed 33-yard field goal from Dallas kicker Brett Maher wide right with under two minutes to go sealed the deal.

Green Bay remains in first in the NFC North and will Detroit next Monday night. The Lions had a bye in Week Five and are 2-1-1 on the season.
