There will be no trip to Madison, but it was the end of a successful season for the Sturgeon Bay Clippers girls' golf team Monday at the Xavier Sectional meet.
The Clippers shot a 478 on the day, about 100 strokes behind sectional qualifying Xavier and Wrightstown in seventh place. Madeline Blahnik ended her high school golfing career leading the Clippers on the day, shooting a 103.
In the yet-to-be-played Notre Dame Sectional, sophomore Lydia VandenHouten will be in the second wave with three other individual qualifiers at Thornberry Creek.
