The first conference crown in 45 years is on the line Friday night when the Gibraltar Vikings battle the Wausaukee Rangers on 105.1 The Viking.
The Vikings are tied with Suring for the MONLPC-EIght-Man Conference lead and need a win to keep pace after the Eagles blew out Three Lakes last night 70-24. The Rangers are almost like looking at a mirror offensively with Hayden Renikow trailing the Vikings' Luke Steebs for the passing yards lead and Brandon Shigouri behind Alex Laughlin for the receiving yards title. After losing their first six games, the Rangers have won two straight. This gives Gibraltar head coach Mike Peck more reason to make sure his team stays focused for Friday night and not look ahead to their playoff berth.
