The Kewaunee girls cross country team was the big winner at Thursday's Packerland Conference championships held by Gibraltar.
The Storm edged out Sturgeon Bay by five points (67-72) to take the title. Sevastopol's Olivia Stenzel won the girls' race by 14 seconds, running a time of 20:03 on the 5K course.
The Storm boys' team actually tied Peshtigo at 64 points, but the title was given to Peshtigo based on criteria. Southern Door was not far off the pace itself, scoring 67 points to take third. Southern Door's Sam Dean posted the fastest local time, running a 17:38 to finish in fifth.
