Spartans cross country finish top-half of NEC

The Luxemburg-Casco cross country teams did well in their final tune-up before this week's sectional meets with the boys finishing in fourth and the girls coming in third.

 

Freshman Spencer Thiry ran a 5K time of 17:35 to come in 11th place overall to pace the boys teams. The Spartans girls had their entire team finish in the top 25, led by sophomore Alyssa Delebreau's 21:43.

 

Freedom won both the boys and girls races.

 

The Spartans will be joined by Kewauee and Sturgeon Bay in the Division 2 Two Rivers Sectional on Saturday.  Algoma, Gibraltar, Sevastopol, Southern Door, and Washington Island will compete at the Division 3 Manitowoc Lutheran on Saturday.
