Volleyball teams prepare for WIAA tournament

With conference play officially in the rear-view mirror, area high school volleyball teams are in do-or-die mode for the rest of the season.

Luxemburg-Casco was the only team fortunate to get a bye to Thursday's action with all Packerland Conference teams playing on Tuesday. One of those teams is Gibraltar, which dropped their first conference tournament match against Oconto on Saturday. Vikings head coach Woody Heidler says it is important to get the momentum rolling to have success in the post-season.

Gibraltar will host Oneida Nation at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Fish Creek. You can click here for the rest of the first-round matchups for the area's volleyball teams.
