Gibraltar a tale of two teams

When Suring takes a look at film this week ahead of their playoff matchup, they will see a vastly different Gibraltar football team offensively.  In their September 6th matchup, the Vikings threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns en route to a 43-24 victory over the Eagles. The Vikings went on to post the conference’s best passing numbers on the year. The last three weeks, however, the Vikings have only thrown for 210 yards total, but have averaged 254 yards a contest rushing in the meantime. Gibraltar head coach Mike Peck credits their improving option game for being able to handle tough pass defenses and bad weather conditions.

The Gibraltar Vikings will travel to Suring for its first-round playoff matchup against the Eagles. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. will be broadcast on 105.1 The Viking and streamed on DoorCountyDailyNews.com, DoorKewauneeHighSchoolSports.com, and the DoorCountyDailyNews.com mobile app.
