Only one senior suited up for the Sevastopol football team in their final game against Wabeno/Laona on Friday. The Pioneers lost that game 54-14 which was broadcasted on 104.1 WRLU and DoorKewauneeHighSchoolSports.com. Arthur Hocevar was the lone senior on the field as the other two, Caden Kacmarynski and Triston Beauchamp, were both hurt. With the lack of experience, Sevastopol was not able to repeat the success of 2018 when they won a state championship. Head Coach Ron Frank talks about what those three seniors have meant to the Pioneer football program.

Sevastopol started a number of sophomores the whole season and improved throughout the season. The Pioneers lost their first four games before a three-game winning streak in the middle of the season. They lost their final two contests against co-conference champion Gibraltar and another really good team in Wabeno/Laona. Coach Frank has already talked with his assistants about their plans for next season which should be an improvement on the 2019 campaign.
