"One better" than last year has been preached since the first practice of the season, and the Gibraltar Vikings will look to do that as they open the 2019 WIAA Eight-Man Football Playoffs on 105.1 The Viking Friday night.
The Vikings will travel to Suring for their Level 1 tilt, a rematch of its 43-24 win over the Eagles during the third week of the season. Key to that win was being able to handle Logan Stuart better than almost any other team in the state, limiting him to 114 yards. Gibraltar head coach Mike Peck says even though the offense is evolved over the course of the season, controlling Stuart's impact is key.
