Southern Door High School's basketball team has its first-ever Division 1 college recruit. Senior Ryan Claflin has committed to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay for next year. Claflin has been courted by several Division 2 schools in the upper Midwest including Wisconsin-Parkside, Michigan Tech, and Northern Michigan. The Phoenix were the first Division 1 institution to extend him an offer. The first date to sign a National Letter of Intent is November 13, 2019.
