Sevastopol High School cross country member Olivia Stenzel is the only area runner competing at Saturday's state meet. The race will take place at Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids. The girls Division 3 race has a tentative start time of 1:20 PM. Stenzel is returning to the state meet after a 20th-place finish in 2018. She ran the course in 20:16 then.

Stenzel's been steadily improving this season. Her best run was last Saturday at sectionals, breaking the 20-minute barrier. To nab a top-10 finish, Stenzel will need to find a way to get from last week's 19:54 to around 19:30. The temperature is expected to be in the mid-30's with the possibility of snow flakes in the air.
