Packers outlast Panthers

A goal-line stand in the final seconds secured the Green Bay Packers' 24-16 win over the Carolina Panthers Sunday evening.

After the Panthers struck first on a Kyle Allen touchdown pass, Aaron Jones scored the first of his three touchdowns on the day from five yards out to give the Packers a 7-3 first-quarter lead.  With the Packers up 14-10 entering the second half, Aaron Jones scored his third touchdown in the opening minutes of the third quarter for what proved to be important points for the Packers. Christian McCaffrey scored a touchdown to open the fourth quarter but was stopped at the goal-line in the game's final moments to preserve the victory for the Packers.

Now at 8-2 and in first place in NFC North, the Packers will have the week off before playing again November 24th at San Francisco.
