Hunting season off to good start

With the start of the gun season just about two weeks away, hunters are already having some good success hunting in Door and Kewaunee Counties. 


In Door County, hunters have harvested 754 deer during the crossbow, archery, and youth gun hunt seasons. Over 320 of those deer harvested were registered as bucks.


Kewaunee County had smaller numbers to report, harvesting 601 deer across the three segments, including 278 harvested bucks.


Archery and crossbow hunting seasons continue into January. The gun deer season runs from November 23rd to December 1st.
