Practices may have just started on Monday, but the area's girls basketball teams will start working against other squads as soon as this weekend.
Gibraltar will take to the road Friday evening to scrimmage against Green Bay Southwest beginning at 5:45. Other teams will get their extra work in on Saturday with Luxemburg-Casco traveling to Algoma for an 11 a.m. tip and Southern Door traveling south to scrimmage host Two Rivers, Green Bay East, and North Fond du Lac beginning at 9 a.m. Kewaunee will host a 10 a.m. scrimmage against Manitowoc Lutheran.
Kewaunee will kick off the regular season for local teams with a game at Denmark on November 19th at 7 p.m.
