The Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team kept it close early but ultimately dropped its matchup with New Mexico Wednesday night 93-78.
The game went back and forth between the two teams in the first half before the Lobos went on a late run to make it 49-43 at the break. An early run in the second half thanks to three-pointers made by the likes of Cody Schwartz made it a 56-52 game, but the Lobos went on another tear to open up a lead they would not relinquish. Three Phoenix players scored in double-figures, including a team-high 20 points from JayQuan McCloud in the loss.
The road will not get easier for the Phoenix as they next face Wisconsin at the Kohl Center next Thursday.
