Former Pioneer makes B1G List

A day after being joined by another Door County swimmer on the team, University of Minnesota swimmer and Sevastopol alum Max McHugh made the honor roll again for the Big Ten Conference.

It is the second time McHugh has garnered the recognition this season thanks to some impressive performances in a recent dual meet in Wisconsin. In that meet, he swam the fasted 100-yard breaststroke time in the nation with a 52.59 while also swimming the third fastest 200-yard breaststroke in the country with a 1:56.41 and helping the 200-yard medley team take second place.

McHugh is trying to improve on his freshman campaign where he was an All-American and the Big Ten Freshman Swimmer of the Year.
