Girls basketball games begin this week

While wrestlers and boys basketball teams start to get their bearings Monday, the girls are all ready to hit the hardwood.


Kewaunee hits the ground running beginning on Tuesday when it faces Denmark on the road at 7 p.m. On Thursday, Sturgeon Bay travels to Shawano Community for a 7:15 p.m. tip while Gibraltar plays host to Coleman at 7:30 p.m. On Friday, Algoma makes the long trip to Wausaukee for a 7 p.m. tip and Southern Door hits the road to face Roncalli for a 7:15 p.m. game. Gibraltar even sneaks in a non-conference game against Xavier Saturday at home before Luxemburg-Casco (11/26 vs. Wrightstown) and Sevastopol (11/30 at Two Rivers) open their regular seasons.
