The Wisconsin Badgers hit 10 of its 15 three-pointers in the first half to cruise to an 88-70 victory over Green Bay.
Nathan Reuvers used his size advantage to lead the team in scoring with 19 points, while five other Badgers scored in double figures on the evening. The Phoenix was able to play a little looser in the second half with the game in hand for the Badgers, actually outscoring their hosts 41-27 in the frame. Freshman guard Amari Davis led all Phoenix players with 16 points while JayQuan McCloud chipped in another 13 in the loss.
The Badgers head to Brooklyn Monday to play Richmond while Green Bay hosts a subregional of a tournament Tuesday and Wednesday when they face California State-Northridge and Colgate on consecutive nights.
