The Wisconsin Badgers football team will play for a spot in the Big Ten Title Game next weekend when they end the regular season against rival Minnesota. The Badgers held Purdue to seven second half points Saturday in West Lafayette to pull away for a 45-24 victory.
Quarterback Jack Coan completed over 75% of his passes with two touchdowns. Running back Jonathan Taylor was dynamic, averaging 7.9 yards per carry. In total, Taylor picked up 222 yards on the ground.
Minnesota is 7-1 in the conference and Wisconsin is 6-2. Whoever wins next weekend in Minneapolis gets Ohio State on Saturday, December 7th. While only the Buckeyes still have a shot at the College Football Playoff, the winner of the Big Ten West would be featured in a New Year's Six bowl game assuming they can spring an upset over Ohio State.
