The overhaul of the Milwaukee Brewers took even more shape when the team opted against offering contracts to five players that were arbitration-eligible.
While they tendered contracts to Brent Suter, Ben Gamel, Josh Hader, and Corey Knebel, the Brewers did not do the same for Tyler Saladino, Travis Shaw, Jimmy Nelson, Alex Claudio, and Junior Guerra. This comes after the Brewers traded Chase Anderson, Zach Davies, and Trent Grisham in deals last month and saw Yasmani Grandal and Mike Moustakas sign free agent contracts in recent weeks.
