L-C Spartan Winter Sports Preview on WBDK packs Rendezvous

A packed crowd filled the Rendezvous of Luxemburg for the L-C Spartan Winter Sports Preview on WBDK 96.7 FM Wednesday night.  Coaches and dozen student-athletes from the wrestling and boys and girls basketball programs shared their goals for the upcoming seasons.

New head coach Taylor Schmidt of the Lady Spartans started the show off as they look for their first win of the season Thursday night at Denmark.  The girls lost to powerhouse Wrightstown and Notre Dame to start out their schedule.

Luxemburg-Casco's strong wrestling program led by head coach Chas Treml look to get back to state again after losing to Freedom in the sectional finals last year.  They open the season with a home match against highly ranked Denmark Thursday.

Coach Tyler Thrune and the boys basketball team, which opened with a big 87-55 non-conference win over Green Bay East Monday, looks to challenge for the North Eastern Conference championship this year.
