The Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team made a tough Xavier Musketeers sweat during its Wednesday night matchup but cooled down in the stretch in its 84-71 loss in Cincinnati.
The Phoenix were down only by three heading into the break thanks to freshman sensation Amari Davis scoring 10 of his team-high 19 points in the first half. The size of the Musketeers eventually wore down the Phoenix, who scored 40 of its 84 points in the paint and collected just shy 30 inside the paint. JayQuan McCloud added 15 points for the Phoenix, which head to Eastern Illinois this weekend to play the Panthers.
