It was a tough pair of games for Green Bay Phoenix basketball fans Saturday afternoon as both teams lost.
In Green Bay, the women's team held a double-advantage over #16 DePaul, only see the Blue Demons go on a 14-2 run to close the third quarter to steal the momentum from the Phoenix. The Phoenix ended up losing the game 76-65. The tide turned when Caitlyn Hibner went out with a head injury late in the third quarter. Frankie Wurtz led the Phoenix with 25 points.
The men's team were in Charleston, Ill. for their game, losing to Eastern Illinois 93-80. Coach Linc Darner did not even make it until the end of the first half, ejected with a couple minutes to go in the opening frame after receiving his second technical for arguing calls. JayQuan McCloud led the Phoenix with 17 points.
