In just the second game of the season for the Sevastopol High School boys basketball team, the offense still failed to click Tuesday night against Peshtigo. Sevastopol fell to 0-2, losing 61-50 to the Bulldogs. Last year’s squad saw a similar slow start with the offense coming to life after Christmas. Before the holiday in 2018, Sevastopol scored under 40 points in three of their first six games. That happened once in their last 14.
If this year’s team stays true to form, they should be rounding into shape come the Lena Invitational. Before then, the Pioneers play NEW Christian Home School Thursday and are at Southern Door next week.
