Algoma was one of the few teams in the area that got their game in Thursday night, falling to NEW Lutheran 40-31.
The Wolves were down only by one heading into the second half, but were outscored by the Blazers 20-12 in the final frame. Emersyn Wallace led the Wolves with 13 points while Ericka Berger chipped in with 10. The loss drops the Wolves to 1-4 on the season.
Yesterday's postponed game between Sturgeon Bay and Oconto has been shifted Friday night ahead of the boys' game in Sturgeon Bay and will tip off at 6 p.m. Sevastopol will also play at 6 p.m. against St. Thomas Aquinas. Luxemburg-Casco will play on the road at Fox Valley Lutheran beginning at 7 p.m.
