It was a busy Saturday of action for area wrestlers as Luxemburg-Casco, Southern Door, Kewaunee, and Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol were all in action at three different tournaments.
In Suamico, Luxemburg-Casco was the top local team at the Battle of the Bay Tournament, taking fourth place. Easton Worachek, Lucas Joniaux, and Reece Worachek all placed in the top four on their way to leading the Spartans to 382 points. Southern Door scored 91 points, led by a sixth place finish by Griffin Slezewski.
In Wabeno, Kewaunee took seventh in the Rebel Invitational. Jack Severin won his weight class at 126 pounds while Jason Reinke, Logan Steinhorst, and Nathan VanGoethem also placed in the top three.
In Brillion, Sturgeon Bay placed seventh in the host team's invitational. Ben Denamur was the top finisher, getting two pins on his way to a fourth place finish.
