Algoma boys basketball looks for first win

The Algoma Wolves boys basketball team hopes its first win of the season comes at home against Green Bay West on Monday night.

The Wolves have opened the season 0-4, including a 74-52 loss to NEW Lutheran last week. The Wildcats haven't fared much better since their season opening win against Bonduel, dropping their last three including a heartbreaking 49-48 decision to cross city rival Green Bay East last week.  The Wolves will have to lean on the scoring abilities of Carter Zimmerman (16.7 ppg) and Trevor Nell (11.7 ppg) as the Wildcats have been averaging nearly 60 points a game compared to around 46 for the Wolves.

Monday's tip time is 7:30 p.m.
