The Southern Door Eagles girls' basketball team started their week on a high note with a 48-45 victory over Denmark.
It was a tight game throughout the evening with the Eagles earning its margin of victory in the first half, outscoring the Vikings 17-14. Nicole Norton led the Eagles with 17 points with Hailey Shimon pitching in another 10 points. Kendra Dantoin and Chloe LaCrosse controlled the boards for the Eagles with each collecting eight rebounds. Abby Marcique and Jessica Heraly led the way for the Vikings in the loss, combining to score 39 of the team's 45 points.
Local games slated for 7:30 p.m. tips Tuesday include Kewaunee hosting Luxemburg-Casco, Gibraltar traveling to NEW Lutheran in Green Bay, Sevastopol playing at home against Southern Door, and Sturgeon Bay making the trip to Peshtigo.
