Girls' basketball preview: Local teams hit the road

Only a pair of teams are playing Thursday night and both will hit the road in search of a victory.

Kewaunee travels west to Green Bay to face NEW Lutheran in a battle of the Packerland Conference's top two teams. Mackenzie Tlachac leads the Storm and the conference in scoring at just over 24 points per game while Claire Kohnle is third in the conference in assists. The game is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m.

Luxemburg-Casco looks to rebound from its loss to the Storm earlier this week with a game in Clintonville. The Spartans found the offensive spark they needed to get its first win of the season last week against Waupaca. Taylor Thiry is the team's leading scorer and rebounder, averaging close 12 points and 8 rebounds a game this season. Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
