Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay and the Door County Silent Sports Alliance are teaming up for a chance to enjoy some trails and early season powder for free. It continues throughout the year every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. That’s assuming adequate snow. This weekend should be a great opportunity to get on the trails with temperatures in the mid-30’s and sunshine keeping participants warm without erasing the current snowpack. To open the season, ski for free is 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM followed by a solstice campfire in the evening on Saturday.
