Phoenix women top rival, men face IUPUI

The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team responded to their loss against Wright State last Monday with a 61-48 win over the Milwaukee Panthers Saturday afternoon.

The Phoenix forced 18 turnovers in the game, scoring 15 points off of them to set the tone early. Meghan Pingel returned to action for the first time in almost a month by knocking down three three-pointers right from the get-go en-route to a 12 point game. Sophomore Hailey Oskey led all scorers with 17 points to lead the Phoenix to its second win in three tries. The Phoenix women will make their swing through Michigan later this week with games against Oakland on Thursday and a Saturday matinee against Detroit Mercy.

Speaking of matinees, the Phoenix men play at 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon against IUPUI as they look for their first wins against their visitors from Indianapolis since the Jaguars joined the Horizon League.
