Phoenix remain winless against Jaguars

The Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team stumbled in the second game of their five-game homestand, losing to the IUPUI Jaguars 93-78 in a Sunday matinee at the Resch Center.

The Jaguars came into the game without a win in the Horizon League and just 4-12 on the season, but snapped out of their struggles against the Phoenix, knocking down 14 three-point shots and nearly shot 50 percent from the field. Guards Jaylen Minnett (31 points) and Marcus Burk (27 points) led the Jaguars in scoring. The Phoenix had four players score in double figures on the afternoon led by PJ Pipes' 18 points in another strong effort coming off the bench. It was the fifth straight loss against the Jaguars against the Phoenix, who have not beaten their Indianapolis rivals since IUPUI joined the Horizon League three years ago.

The Phoenix continue their five-game homestand Saturday against Milwaukee in a 6 p.m. tilt.
